Melissa Jun Rowley is the founder and CEO of Warrior Love Productions, a mission-driven marketing collective and production company specializing in campaigns and stories spotlighting the intersection of emerging technology and social impact. Passionate about gender equity, climate action and diversity, she's developed and executed brand strategy and thought leadership for the World Bank, United Nations, William Morris Endeavor, Grounded.org, MasterCard, Cisco, and a number of startups and web3 projects. Additionally, she and her team are spearheading the HerVoice web3 initiative, which is turning women's voices in action through art and innovation, in partnership with CARE.org. Melissa is also the cofounder of the Mintworthy Film Project, a film3 incubator, powered by NEAR Protocol and providing grants and web3 education for indie filmmakers. Prior to starting Warrior Love, Melissa built a humanitarian tech startup, cofounded by legendary musician and activist Peter Gabriel. This initiative and her insatiable journalistic curiosity led her to traveling to 70+ countries, writing about entrepreneurs in developing economies, and working with founders to implement impact and sustainability into their operations and services. In another life, Melissa covered award shows and movie premieres for CNN and Associated Press Television News. She also produced business news from the New York Stock Exchange. Her written work has appeared in BBC News, Forbes, TechCrunch, Mic, Rolling Stone, Fast Company, The Guardian, Insider, and several other media outlets.
